On July, Thursday 13 and Friday 14, 2017 at the European University Miguel de Cervantes in Valladolid (Spain) we celebrate the second edition of the summer course “The values of Spanish Transition to Democracy, Today”. We count for this edition with the same director and deputy directors as in the first edition: Miguel Ángel Quintana Paz, Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo and Arcadi Espada.
The course tries to go on discussing whether the values that made the Spanish Transition to democracy possible are still useful nowadays. We will have contributions from a diverse setting of political attitudes and generations. The participants include Fernando Savater, Nicolás Redondo Terreros, Andrea Levy, Fernando Rey, Óscar Puente, Mikel Azurmendi, Manuel Álvarez Tardío, Daniel Arjona, Ferran Caballero, Andrea Mármol and Juan Fernández Miranda. The closing ceremony will count with an important figure of Spanish Transition, Rodolfo Martín Villa, with the president of our university, Imelda Rodríguez Escanciano.
You can download the complete program of the course from here. Its location will be the Casa Revilla, a medieval noble home right in the center of Valladolid.
