On Wednesday, December 20, 2023 I give a lecture entitled Plácido, or On the Biempensive Placidity of Yesteryear and Nowadays within the series Cinema & Philosophy in Tetuan: The Force of Myths, organized by the Territorial Department of Culture and Community Leisure of the District of Tetuan in Madrid. This is a film forum in which the screening of the film in question (Plácido, by Luis García Berlanga, 1961) will begin at 6 p.m., while the discussion will start at 7:30 p.m. The venue is the Centro Cultural José de Espronceda de Tetuán, located at 9 Almansa Str., Madrid.
