How to help me
Every so often someone writes to ask how they might give me a hand. This page sets out my answer.
I do not ask for money. I ask for a prayer. If you are a believer and think it fitting, you can light a candle for me at this shrine of Our Lady of Hope, in Spain, entirely free of charge. The intention is yours to choose; I would not presume to suggest one, beyond the Marian title under which I have chosen to ask.
And if you are not a believer, I suggest two things. The first is that you read this short piece of mine; and then, should you decide to heed Blaise Pascal or Lope de Vega, proceed as I suggest in the paragraph above.
If not, and if you still wish to help me, my second suggestion is that you lend one of my books to someone who does not yet know me. It is a comforting kind of help for an author, and it costs nothing either.
